PHOTOG · BOOKING POLICY

Clear outcomes when plans change.

This policy applies to paid Photog marketplace bookings. The exact policy version accepted at checkout is recorded with the booking. All timing is measured against the confirmed session start time.

Stripe returns approved refunds to the original payment method. Bank and card processing times are controlled by the payment provider.

If the photographer cancels

The client receives a 100% refund and the photographer receives no compensation for that booking. Photographer cancellations may affect reliability and marketplace standing. Safety, emergency, and exceptional circumstances may be reviewed by Photog Support.

Reschedule first

Either participant may request a new date and time through the Photog conversation. The original booking remains confirmed until the other person accepts. If a reschedule is accepted after the booking has entered a 24–72-hour or under-24-hour protection window, that original protection stays locked and cannot be reset by moving the date.

How the calculation works

Photog calculates the applicable window on the server using the confirmed session timestamp and any locked reschedule protection. The dashboard shows the exact refund and photographer compensation before final cancellation. Photog records the reason, policy outcome, Stripe refund reference, and any connected-account transfer reference.

No-shows and evidence

A photographer or Photog administrator may report a client no-show after the confirmed start time. Photog may request timestamps, messages, venue records, or other reasonable evidence before releasing compensation. False reports may lead to account suspension.

Exceptions and disputes

Photog may review documented emergencies, duplicate payments, fraud, technical errors, unsafe conditions, force majeure, or conflicting evidence. An exception request does not automatically change the standard calculation or pause outside card-network deadlines. Contact support@usephotog.com promptly and keep relevant communication inside Photog.

Agreement at checkout

Before Stripe checkout opens, the client must affirmatively agree to Photog's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and this Booking Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy. The checkbox is not preselected, and the acceptance time and policy version are stored with the booking.
